AG-LEGAL-004 — Alta Acceptable Use Policy
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to Alta websites, accounts, dashboards, Discord bots and communities, payment tools, banking products, brokerage tools, support systems, and other services operated by Alta Group or its subsidiaries.
It supplements the Alta Group Terms of Service and applicable product agreements.
2. Fair and Authorized Use
Users may use Alta services only through authorized accounts, interfaces, permissions, and workflows. Users must follow applicable Minecraft, Discord, community, and third-party platform rules.
3. Prohibited Activity
Users must not:
- access or attempt to access another person's account, session, records, or credentials;
- impersonate Alta staff, another user, business, merchant, institution, or provider;
- provide false verification, ownership, financial-style, or transaction information;
- exploit bugs, race conditions, duplicate-processing behavior, or inconsistent balances;
- manipulate balances, prices, orders, fees, rankings, eligibility, or platform records;
- use Alta services to facilitate scams, theft, laundering of virtual value, evasion, or prohibited real-world activity;
- harass, threaten, dox, discriminate against, or abuse users or staff;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or bypass platform security;
- scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or automate Alta services without authorization;
- evade a suspension, restriction, rate limit, review, or enforcement action;
- submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or malicious content; or
- use confidential or non-public information for an unfair advantage.
4. Automation
Bots, scripts, browser automation, bulk requests, and data collection require express authorization unless Alta provides the relevant feature for ordinary customer use.
Authorized automation must respect credentials, permissions, rate limits, data-use restrictions, and revocation instructions. Alta may disable automation that creates risk or excessive load.
5. Financial-Style Services
Users must not knowingly initiate unauthorized transfers, create sham invoices, misrepresent payment purposes, double-pledge virtual collateral, manipulate order activity, manufacture false disputes, or conceal control of an account or company.
6. Company and Merchant Responsibilities
Companies and merchants are responsible for their representatives, Company Members, branding, invoices, payment links, payroll instructions, product descriptions, and customer communications. They must:
- confirm each person’s authority before inviting them as a Company Member;
- understand that each Member receives full company access;
- monitor actions taken in the company context; and
- remove the person as a Company Member promptly when they are no longer authorized.
The Company Member feature is in progress. The platform shows only Owner and Member; it does not provide role-specific boundaries such as Executive, Finance Manager, or Viewer. An invitation does not verify employment or guarantee that a Member cannot perform an action the company intended to reserve for someone else. A company may not use an Alta membership or invitation as evidence that Alta has assumed responsibility for the company’s employees, agents, or internal controls.
7. Security Reporting
Users should report suspected vulnerabilities through official support channels and avoid accessing more data or systems than necessary to demonstrate the issue. Public disclosure, extortion, destructive testing, or retention of accessed data is prohibited.
8. Enforcement
Alta may investigate suspected violations using platform records, audit logs, authentication records, transaction history, user reports, and information supplied by connected providers.
Measures may include warnings, content removal, rate limits, transaction holds, reversals, permission removal, account restrictions, service suspension, termination, or referral to the applicable platform or community authority.
9. No Waiver
Failure to act on one violation does not waive Alta's right to act on later or related conduct.
10. Changes and Contact
Alta may update this Policy when services, threats, or operating requirements change. Questions or security reports may be submitted through official Alta support channels.
